Cranbury, NJ, October 31, 2025 – As Open Enrollment begins November 1, AmeriHealth is once again proud to offer New Jersey residents 16 different health plan options for 2026, offering members more savings, flexibility, comprehensive coverage. The 16 Exclusive Provider Organization plans (EPO) include Bronze, Silver and Gold metallic tiers. The AmeriHealth Advantage Suite of products has been the company’s most popular plan option, providing members with access to high-quality care with a lower monthly premium, as well as the lowest out-of-pocket costs when Tier 1 doctors and hospitals are used. Since the launch of the Affordable Care Act, AmeriHealth has offered plans on the consumer exchange, demonstrating its commitment to providing a broad range of comprehensive and affordable plans to help members maximize their benefits and live healthier lives.
New Jersey operates on a state-based exchange, Get Covered New Jersey, which serves as the state’s official health insurance marketplace. New Jersey residents are required to have health care coverage, and consumers who purchase or renew a health plan through the exchange may be eligible for a state-based subsidy, in addition to the existing federal subsidy. Currently, Nine out of 10 New Jersey residents enrolling in coverage through Get Covered New Jersey are eligible to receive increased financial help to reduce their insurance premiums.
New for 2026
New Jersey has aligned with federal regulations of the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA). As a result, the AmeriHealth plans will provide balanced coverage without additional financial or treatment restrictions for mental health care. Outpatient mental health benefits are now aligned with medical/surgical classifications, ensuring consistent copay or coinsurance structures.

AmeriHealth dental and vision plans for families and adults ages 19 and older are now available to purchase separately from the medical plans, giving members the flexibility to have coverage that works best for them.
Off-exchange plans provide New Jersey residents with additional options
New Jersey residents can also purchase a health plan off-exchange, directly from AmeriHealth. In 2026, AmeriHealth is expanding its offerings with three new plans geared toward employers looking to offer Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement (ICHRA). Within the Select Suite, several plans will provide 10 percent savings compared to similar on-exchange plans. Off-Exchange health plans are not subsidy eligible.
In order to receive ID cards by January 1, 2026, individuals should make health plan selections, whether on or off-exchange, by November 30, 2025. All new and current AmeriHealth members will receive ID cards.
