AmeriHealth launches second annual Be of Service campaign to honor local individual and organization

Cranbury, NJ – April 14, 2025 – AmeriHealth today announced its second annual Be of Service campaign, which recognizes a Corporate Citizen of the Year and Volunteer of the Year who go above and beyond for their community.

AmeriHealth believes strengthening the communities it serves helps create healthier futures for its members and those they serve. By recognizing how others exceed expectations — through charitable efforts, excellence in philanthropy, volunteering, or community service — AmeriHealth wants to celebrate those who have demonstrated impactful work and encourage them to remain committed to their communities.

“The Be of Service campaign is our way of highlighting the incredible acts of service from the people and organizations of New Jersey,” said Mike Munoz, SVP and President of AmeriHealth. “AmeriHealth is grateful for those who are deeply invested in their communities. Together, we are improving the health and wellbeing of everyone in our great state.”

Like last year, two awards will be available for nomination, with one winner for each category – Corporate Citizen of the Year and Volunteer of the Year. Members of the public will be able to submit nominations for both an individual or organization that resides or is headquartered in the state of New Jersey. Nominations are open now through Monday, May 5.

Winners of each award will receive a $500 gift card from AmeriHealth and be entitled to designate a charity to which AmeriHealth will donate $1,500.

In 2024, the Corporate Citizen of the Year award went to Raise the Bar Family Services Inc. (RTB), an organization based in Camden, N.J., that aims to enhance the overall well-being of individuals with disabilities and their families by developing high-quality programs, cultivating an inclusive community, and making resources more accessible for all. The Volunteer of the Year was Angela Krukauskas, founder of No1HungryinEHC, a local nonprofit that aims to end hunger in the Garden State by providing food for the food insecure and conducting back-to-school and holiday drives with donated items from the community.
