The Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey recognizes AmeriHealth New Jersey as a 2022 Company that Cares

Cranbury, NJ, March 23, 2022 — AmeriHealth New Jersey has been named a 2022 Company that Cares by the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey (CIANJ). The company was honored at the Awards Reception hosted by CIANJ in partnership with COMMERCE magazine for its work with Child Abuse Research Education and Service (CARES) Institute at Rowan University, a facility that provides medical and mental health services to children and families that have experienced sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect or domestic violence.

“Providing support and resources to people when they need it most is at the core of what we do as a company, and it’s an honor to be recognized by the CIANJ with this philanthropic award,” said Mike Munoz, market president for AmeriHealth New Jersey. “We are proud to have fostered a strong relationship with the CARES Institute and commend their tireless efforts to providing care for New Jersey children and families in need.”

This year’s selection of companies was decided by a panel of judges from several New Jersey organizations. The winners are featured in a special “Companies that Care” section in the March issue of COMMERCE magazine, the media arm of the CIANJ.

For more than five years, AmeriHealth New Jersey has supported the CARES Institute. In 2021, associates donated a record number of gifts to the organization’s annual holiday gift drive. AmeriHealth New Jersey works closely with CARES to determine the family’s needs and wish lists in order to provide them with the most meaningful gifts.

CIANJ is a statewide business advocacy organization, representing more than 950 corporate members from every industry sector.
