Cranbury, NJ – October 1, 2024 – Today, AmeriHealth announced that for the second consecutive year, it will be offering enhanced Medicare Advantage plans to those who qualify. AmeriHealth’s Medicare Advantage plans continue to provide robust offerings, with benefits that are specific to members’ needs. Options in this year’s plans include:
- PPO plans with premiums as low as $0
- Flexible benefit allowance for dental, vision and hearing services and supplies valued at up to $300 per year on select plans
- Routine dental, vision, and hearing included
- Prescription drug coverage included
- $0 primary care physician (PCP) copay per visit
- Specialist copays as low as $5 per visit*
- Up to $100 per quarter over-the-counter allowance
- Free fitness membership
- No referrals
- Part B giveback, which helps reduce the amount members pay each month for their Medicare Part B premium, on two plans
AmeriHealth’s Medicare Advantage plans will continue to cover seven New Jersey counties: Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Mercer, Middlesex, and Ocean. The coverage network includes 44,000 providers and 75 hospitals.

*This is a general copay that applies to specialist visits for consultation, diagnosis, and treatment by a specialist in a physician’s office, but copay amounts vary for some specialist visits including podiatry, psychiatry, pulmonology, cardiology, etc. Please reference the plan’s Evidence of Coverage for a complete listing of benefits.
The giveback is set up by Medicare and administered through the Social Security Administration (SSA). The giveback incentive only participates with Social Security and is credited monthly on your Social Security check or Medicare Part B premium statement. There are no direct payments made to beneficiaries by Independence. Beneficiaries who pay their own Part B premium are eligible for the Giveback. Meaning, beneficiaries cannot receive Medicaid or any
other assistance from a health program that could potentially pay their Part B premium.
