Cranbury, NJ, October 31, 2023 – As open enrollment begins November 1, AmeriHealth is once again proud to offer New Jersey residents 12 different health plan options for 2024. These include 11 plans that consist of EPOs across the Bronze, Silver and Gold metallic tiers, as well as a catastrophic option. These plans are made with members in mind, focusing on whole-person health, which integrates both physical and behavioral well-being.
“We at AmeriHealth are committed to ensuring we offer our members access to the highest quality health plans and care,” said AmeriHealth Market President Mike Munoz. “Our dedicated associates are here to support our community and their health needs, during open enrollment and throughout the year.”
Since the launch of the Affordable Care Act, members’ health and wellbeing has been a top priority. AmeriHealth offers access to a variety of networks, and zero-dollar virtual care options with 24/7 access through online video, mobile app or phone. AmeriHealth Advantage plan is one of the most popular options, with more than ninety six percent of members enrolled, because of its affordability and access to richer Tier 1 benefits.
In 2021, New Jersey transitioned to a state-based exchange, Get Covered New Jersey, which will continue to serve as the state’s official health insurance marketplace. New Jersey residents are required to have health care coverage, and consumers who purchase or renew a health plan through Get Covered New Jersey may be eligible for a state-based subsidy, in addition to the existing federal subsidy.
Off-exchange plans provide New Jersey residents with additional options
New Jersey residents can also purchase a health plan off exchange, directly from AmeriHealth. There are 14 plans available off exchange, including two plans in the Select Suite that provide a ten percent savings compared to similar on-exchange plans. The AmeriHealth off exchange Select Suite of plans are amongst the most affordable options in the Silver and Bronze tier. Off-exchange health plans are not subsidy eligible.
AmeriHealth has a commitment to ensuring equitable whole-person health with plans that will offer specialized health care and wellness solutions for members. Benefits include family planning with Ovia Health, diabetes management through Livongo, Wondr Health counseling programs and cancer navigation services through Thyme Care.
In order to receive ID cards by January 1, 2024, individuals should make health plan selections, whether on or off-exchange, by November 30, 2023. All new and current AmeriHealth members will receive ID cards.
